UKZV

UKZV is a high voltage distribution unit for cathodic protection which is installed in the open air (Climatic Category / Location Class U1 or UHL1) and is used in the cathodic protection systems of metallic gas, oil product pipelines and other protected industrial facilities of underground and ground types, as well as in electrochemical protection systems of city utility facilities. UKZV is used to protect the constructions against electrochemical corrosion.

Features of High Voltage Distribution Station for Cathodic Protection UKZV

• A High Voltage Station of Cathodic Protection is mounted in a metal cabinet which is secured on transport skids. The cabinet has two sections with high and low voltage distribution devices – HVDD section and LVDD section. The cabinet’s door is equipped with the locks with similar security keys.
• Electric power with the voltage 6 (10 kW) is supplied from electric transmission lines to an overhead entry box. Power transformer in HVDD converts high voltage 6 (10) kW into low voltage 0.23 kW.
• LVDD is designed to have the access holes for the drainage and measurement cables from a protected facility, reference electrode, anodic grounding and other external equipment.
• LVDD is also equipped with the entries for the control and power cables to the additional unit UKZV, if any.
• LVDD distribution board has a 36 V socket which can be the power source for a repair tool, portable light.
• In UKZV which is suitable for the Climatic Categories U1 and UHL1 LVDD sections are equipped with the heating elements, temperature relays.
• UKZV’s cabinet is designed to have cathodic protection converters, shared protection stations and other devices and additional electrochemical protection equipment installed.
